🎓 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the KRCL Trainee Apprentice 2026, candidates must satisfy the following:
1. Educational Qualifications:
✔ Graduate Apprentices: Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computers and other approved disciplines.
✔ Technician Apprentices: Diploma holder in relevant engineering fields.
✔ General Graduates: Graduates in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Journalism etc.
2. Passed Out Years:
Candidates who passed out in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible.
3. Age Limit:
✔ Minimum – 18 years
✔ Maximum – 25 years (as on 01 Jan 2026)
Relaxation available for SC/ST (5 years) & OBC-NCL (3 years).
4. Physical Fitness:
Candidates must meet prescribed medical fitness standards and present a fitness certificate during document verification.
💰 Stipend & Training Details
Selected apprentices will undergo 1 year of training under the Apprentices Act.
📌 Stipend (via Direct Benefit Transfer)
• Graduate Apprentices – ₹4,500 per month (Establishment share)
• Technician (Diploma) Apprentices – ₹4,000 per month (Establishment share)
Note: Candidates must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account and a PAN card for stipend payment.
Accommodation & allowances are NOT provided. Trainees must make their own arrangements during the training period.
🧑🎓 Selection Process
KRCL prepares a merit list based on the aggregate academic marks obtained in all semesters/years of qualifying qualification. Key points:
✔ No rounding off of marks.
✔ Higher total percentage gets higher rank.
✔ In case of tie marks, older candidate gets preference.
✔ If DOB is same, candidate who passed matric earlier is favored.
Preference for selection:
• Land losers related to the Konkan Railway project are prioritized.
• Candidates from KRCL jurisdiction districts (Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka) receive secondary preference.
